After the birth of my son and years of volunteer work with women's and children's charities, I felt compelled to continue my service while at the same time instill in my child the need to give back to the community and help others.
I noticed how quickly my son grew out of his clothes, clothes that were barely worn and even more, that were never worn at all! I decided to call on all my “Mommy” Friends to donate their items and chose to donate to several domestic abuse centers throughout Los Angeles. Hence, Baby Buddha's Closet was inspired by my son.
These children are the innocent victims simply because they were born into a horrendous situation. Sometimes they leave their home with just the clothes on their backs.
As these families bravely move on with their new lives we can help them to make the transition a bit easier and comfortable by providing simple essentials they desperately need.
With your help we can continue to provide clothes and essentials to children in domestic abuse shelters, foster care and homeless youth through Southern California and hopefully grow statewide with the ultimate goal to expand to the entire United States.

We will also post in News and Events the dates and locations of our monthly clothing drives

We are always in the need of helping hands. We need people to help vet the baby gear and clothes,volunteers to wash the clothes and others to help sort them by size.
